LVFO Conference Overview

The Regional Stakeholders Conference on Lake Victoria Fisheries was organized by the LVFO Secretariat and was held from 27th – 29th October 2008 at the Imperial Royale Hotel, Kampala, Uganda. The theme of the Conference was: Fish for the Future is everyone’s responsibility. The overall objective of the Regional Stakeholders Conference on Lake Victoria was to draw attention to the declining Nile perch stocks in Lake Victoria and to call for collaborative efforts to ensure responsible utilization of the fisheries resources at all levels.
